If you grew up in the New York City area, think of those zany "Nobody Beats the Wiz" and "Crazy Eddie" ads. Don't you miss the genius of those Budweiser frogs? Can you hear us now?
Now is YOUR chance to immortalize moe.down with the right video ad/slogan. Feel free to use your photos and videos from past moe.downs, and any moe. music of your choosing. Our friends at Saranac are generously offering a private brewery tour as part of the prize package, and they've said 'a Saranac will do just fine' if you want to include a cold frosty one in your ad as well! WHO'S RUNNING FOR MAYOR OF MOE.DOWN 12?
It is that time of year again, and rumors are flying as to who will run and win the coveted title of Mayor of moe.ville in 2011!
From inanimate objects to presidential impersonators, the candidates and their campaigns throughout the moe.down set the bar higher each year. Election results by crowd applause during moe.'s Sunday announcements has been the long-standing tradition, but we thought fans might want to run their platform starting now, using the power of facebook.
If you are running for Mayor of moe.ville please make a facebook page and get a minimum of 50 "votes" (these could be in the form of friends if you make a profile page, or "likes" if you create a Public Figure page). After you have received 50 "votes" just drop us a line on the moe.down facebook page to tell us you are an official candidate, in order to be included in the "official" audience vote on Sunday night. Continue to promote yourself on the moe.down and official moe. facebook pages, as well as any other social networking sites you may use. Campaign on any fan discussion boards and even on the moe. forum so we (and your constituents attending moe.down) will know who you are! Remember, the real voting doesn't occur until Sunday night at moe.down.
